MIRAGE RAINBOW

Mirage Rainbow is part of my ongoing Mirage series, inspired by the way heat, light, and atmosphere transform the Australian landscape. Using thousands of layered drips and fine linear marks, I create the illusion of a shimmering horizon where colour appears to shift and vibrate.

Flowing from deep blues and vibrant pinks through fiery reds, glowing oranges, luminous yellows, and fresh greens, the painting celebrates the power of colour while capturing the fleeting beauty of a mirage.

Like all works in this series, the painting evolved intuitively. Each layer of dripped paint responds to the last, allowing unexpected colour relationships to emerge and creating a surface full of movement, texture, and light.

Rather than depicting a specific place, Mirage Rainbow captures a feeling—the endless Australian horizon where heat softens the landscape and colour becomes the subject itself.
