Milky Way

 The first layer of Milky Way is painted on a very wet canvas to allow the acrylic paint to blend and soak into the surface to create depth. Once dry, thick splashes of the same colours are flicked onto the painting. The result is a feeling of being drawn into a cosmic storm, or explosion. As with a lot of my abstract works, this was completely unplanned, I just let the painting, and my instincts lead the way.
