This theme, or style started with me playing around with wet oil colours. The beauty of oil paint is that it blends so well, and has such rich, deep colour. I spend many hours subtly blending the colours to create abstract pebbles, I then have a final burst of playful energy dripping pure white paint around some of the pebbles to suggest highlights of shallow water.
