MIRAGE IN PURPLE AND GREEN

Mirage In Purple And Green is another from my new Mirage series that play with drips of pure colour.

Drips of saturated violet and magenta dissolve into luminous greens and teal, forming a horizon that feels both atmospheric and abstract. Created through layered drips of blended pigment, the surface carries a rich, tactile texture—each horizontal striation suggesting movement, depth, and the passage of time.

A fine seam of vibrant yellow and orange cuts through the composition like a distant light line, heightening the sense of illusion and reinforcing the work’s title. While reminiscent of a landscape at dusk, the painting resists literal interpretation, inviting the viewer to experience colour as mood, memory, and mirage.
